松江城大手門の復元資料を探しています(英文)
Here in Matsue, we are working hard to preserve the historic site that is Matsue Castle by restoring the watchtowers that were destroyed in the Meiji Period, maintaining the stone walls of the castle, and more.
Otemon, the main gate, is an important feature of the castle. In an excavation of Otemon’s foundation, the ground was leveled in preparation for rebuilding it, but in order to completely reconstruct the gate, we decided to try offering a cash prize for useful materials about Otemon.
- Desired Materials: Old photographs or blueprints of the gate as it was before being demolished at the start of the Meiji Period
- Eligible Participants: Anyone who can provide the above materials.
- Prize Amount: 5 Million Yen (after the submitted materials are recognized as sufficient for reconstruction)
- Submission Window: April 1st, 2024 to March 31st, 2025
